Residual Marketing – Building Your Network Marketing Business

RESIDUAL MARKETING

Residual Marketing with VideoAs a network marketer, I learned early the definition and importance of residual income, but it wasn’t until I became a internet marketer that I conceived the power of residual marketing.

The Residual Marketing Effect is described as of the continuing promotion that occurs after the initial campaign and over the life of the promotional or marketing tool. It is  a
measurement of the continued usability of a marketing tool and its effectiveness from greatest potency of initial use to the subsequent longevity of its effectiveness.

Video is one of the greatest residual marketing tools that any network marketer could possibly use. It allows you to create a promotional piece one time that becomes available 24 hours a day 7 days a week once uploaded to the internet.

Imagine the power behind online videos that promote your network marketing business that allow viewers to watch at any time of day they desire. Next, imagine those viewers being motivated to take action from the content shared in your video and joining your business without you ever personally speaking to them. This happens every day online.

How To Create Residual Marketing

In this video, I talk about how to create residual marketing. This is the type of marketing that you do once and it continues to market for you over and over and over again without any further input from you.

There are several different types of medias that you can use to create residual marketing but by far the best media is video.

With video, you can create and record a message one time and upload that video to various video hosting and distribution sites and market to people all over the world every day for as long as your video is hosted.

Building Your Internet Marketing Business with Residual Marketing

Today I was sitting around thinking about the work that I am doing with my online business.

For the past few weeks, I have been laying a solid foundation. I want my business to be sturdy and solid. I am really excited about my progress.

Now it’s time to create a following and one of the best ways to do that is to set up a residual marketing program.

Never heard of residual marketing?

Well it’s similar to residual income where you get paid over and over again for something you did once. Except with residual marketing, you get traffic over and over again for a marketing technique that you implemented once.

Video is a great residual marketing tool. In this video, I describe how I will be creating multiple videos to drive traffic to my website properties through the power of residual marketing.

How To Get People To Beg You To Take Their Money

take-my-moneyYou’ll pay a lot… but you’ll get more than you pay for.

That was a blog post that I read the other day by Seth Godin. In a world where we are always looking for a great deal, this blog post caused me to pause for a moment to really think about what he was saying.

Seth stated that it wasn’t hard to charge a lot of money, but that the hard part was in delivering the goods that made the buyer feel and believe that you delivered more than what they paid for.

I smiled after reading this because just the other night I was on a webinar with Larry Beacham and he was stating that making money isn’t hard when you offer so much value that your customer would be crazy not to buy from you. In fact, Larry said that selling was simply showing the value that you are offering in a way that the price seems ridiculous which causes people to beg you to take their money.

Can you imagine… people begging you to take their money?

This has really given me a new insight on how I operate my online business. I must deliver so much value that I am not afraid of telling you what the price is because the delivery will be so valued packed that you will beg me to sell it to you.

Seth Godin went on to say in his post that people compete by charging less and in charging less they end up delivering very little. People don’t mind paying more if they believe that they have received a bargain in what they have purchased.

Here’s a quote from Seth, “One reason we price shop is that we don’t trust that anything that costs more than the cheapest is worth what it costs.”

I need you to read that last sentence again.

If you are a corporate network marketer, you should consider what value you are offering to others.

Your company, compensation plan, replicated website, products and services are all the same as what the next independent representative is offering. So what sets you apart from everyone else in your network marketing company?

The only thing that is different and unique is YOU!

You must offer value in the eyes of your prospect that makes them choose you over your competition… others in your network marketing company.

Yes, that’s right… your competition is not another network marketing company. Your competition is the other marketer who is marketing the EXACT same thing as you are.

So how do you offer bargain value?

Determine what it is that people want who will join your business opportunity.

STRONG LEADERSHIP
They want a strong leader with whom they can partner with, learn from and win. People want to be on teams that win! You must be the type of leader that stands out amongst all the other reps in your company. You must project the image of success and the attitude that you are going to win no matter what. Come hell or high water, people must know, feel and trust that you will rise to the top.

In order to project this image, requires a multitude of things that you must master:

  1. Branding – You have to brand yourself. Image is very important. You will need to learn how to use technology to brand your image across the web.
  2. Training – People need to feel that if they join your team, they are going to get training that will make them successful. People don’t want to join an opportunity just to be forgotten and tossed off to the side for them to figure it out on their own. You must put just as much effort into training them as you did into recruiting them.
  3. Systems – If you want individuals to join your team, you are going to need to convince them that you have a blueprint for them to follow. Your blueprint should include step by step advice on how to promote, market, recruit and sell.

When I look at the people who are having large successes online, the people who most would consider industry leaders, these are the things that they do best.

Sit down and think about what value you can provide that would have people begging to join your team.

Who Am I On January 28, 2013

whoamiToday is January 28th, 2013 and I am asking myself, who am I? What do I want out of life? How do I plan to get it? What changes am I going to have to make to get on the right path? What am I going to do on my way to achieving my goals.

I am Otis “June” Collier and I am a husband, a father, a brother, a friend. I am full of ideas, passions and desires. I am talented… I am a internet marketer. I have many different valuable skills and posses great abilities to teach, train and motivate.

I am also a procrastinator. I am one who changes thoughts as frequently as the wind changes directions. I am easily distracted by new ways in which one can make money. I am not focused enough to see things through. I am attention deficit. I am unorganized.

I want the finer things in life. I have the house but I want the cars, I want the vacations, I want the freedom to wake up each morning and not have to answer to anyone. I want to be a successful entrepreneur who earns a seven figure yearly salary. I want to never have the lack of money problems.

I plan to become organized. I must get my house in order. With organization, I must create a plan. I must know each morning what my activities are for that day. I must create goals and set out to not only reach those goals but conquer them.

I must change my working habits. I must set times to get activities done and allow nothing or no one to distract me from my work. I must change my eating habits. I must eat healthier so that my body is healthy. I must change my sleeping habits. I must go to bed early enough to get adequate rest for my body. I must rise early in the morning before everyone else so that I can be up and running before the rest of the world.

On my way to achieving my goals, I will put God first in my life. I will counsel with the Holy Spirit on everything that I do. I shall not start anything, joint venture with anyone, without first praying and asking for the Holy Spirit’s guidance.

I will spend more time with my wife and family. I will create time in my schedule to those who are important to me. I will make sure that I am balanced in my pursuit to achieve greatness. I will limit my working hours so that I do not neglect my family.

I will tithe 10% of everything that I receive. I will be kind to those I come in contact with. I will look for the good in everyone I meet. I will help those who are willing to help themselves. I will leave a legacy.

Don’t Listen to Stupid People

Stupid People

Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience. ~Mark Twain

This includes your family members and friends who call your network marketing business a pyramid scheme and tell you all the reasons you can’t make any money even though they never offer any advice on how you can.

LinkedIn Profile Branding: Head Shot

There are two very important aspects of your LinkedIn Profile Branding. These two aspects will either make people click on your profile to read more about you or cause them to bypass your profile in search of someone else who appears to be more interesting. In this article, we will focus on one of those aspects which is your head shot.

There are two schools of thought when it comes to head shots  Some people believe that your photo can be a distraction  It can create false perceptions in the mind of the viewer. Many feel that your photo could lead to some sort of discrimination.

LinkedIn Profile Branding

Then there is the second school of thought that says your profile picture can actually help you with bringing personality to an otherwise cold profile.  With so many people hiding behind the internet, a photo of yourself can help bring trust into a online business relationship. A photo shows that you are a real person and helps in starting to build your online brand.

I am an advocate for including professional head shots on your LinkedIn profile. I believe the advantages outweigh the disadvantages… if there are any. There are some basic rules to using the appropriate head shot on LinkedIn. Violating these basic rules will increase your chances of experiencing a negative effect of using your photo.

Let’s first discuss the image quality. Ensure that your profile picture is not grainy or pixilated. A grainy picture can happen when you take a picture in an environment that is not well lit. You might also experience pixelation when you crop yourself out of a photo and then resize it to a point it becomes pixelated.

Use a picture where you are showing off a nice smile. No one wants to connect with a grouch and a simple smile says to others that you are approachable. This is very important in network marketing.

Check your background. You do not want to use a picture where you have a busy background. Keep your background as plain and as simple as you possibly can. White or light colored backdrops work best.

Zoom in for close up shots. When posting your picture on LinkedIn you want to concentrate on face recognition. Only consider using pictures from your mid chest level and above. LinkedIn offers zooming in features once you have uploaded your photo.

A group shot, picture with your spouse or pictures of your pets are not the types of images you want to use on LinkedIn.While these images can be very helpful in giving viewers a deeper sense of your personality, LinkedIn is not the correct social media platform for those types of photos. LinkedIn is a business professional social media site. Using unprofessional images on LinkedIn would be similar to showing up at a formal dinner affair wearing flip flops and a t-shirt.

Do not attempt a self portrait. While your LinkedIn head shot photo does not need to be taken by a professional photographer in a studio, you should not take a photo from your laptop or holding your phone out and snapping a picture. It’s just unprofessional. Get a friend to take a picture of you while you stand against a white colored wall in a well lit room.

Once you have a good head shot photo, you should consider branding yourself across all of your social media sites with this image. Consistency is very important for brand recognition.

LinkedIn Profile Branding Aspect #2

In a later article, we will discuss the second most important aspect of your LinkedIn profile.

How To Handle Failure in Your Network Marketing Business

Earlier today I was reading an article from Forbes titled, “How Failure Taught Edison to Repeatedly Innovate“. In this short article, Edison is noted to have failed 10,000 times while working to invent the light bulb. However when asked Edison is quoted as stating, “I have not failed 10,000 times. I have not failed once. I have succeeded in proving that those 10,000 ways will not work. When I have eliminated the ways that will not work, I will find the way that will work.”

How many of you are willing to give up so quickly on your dreams because they did not immediately materialize? How many have quit because of a few failures? Thomas Edison had it right. It’s not failure but instead lessons of what doesn’t work. I challenge you to continue to prove what DOESN’T work until you find what DOES work!

What Are You Doing NOW?

What you are going to do is far less important than what you are doing now or have done in the past.

You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream.
